Separate food storage pantries, wine fridges, eat-in breakfast bars and extravagant amounts of counter and cabinet space typically define these kitchens. Printers stopped using blue ink many years ago - it was very difficult to read, and the fumes were dangerous to inhale. We consider a room to be vaulted if the ceiling - whether flat, angled, or curved - is above 10 feet at its highest point. If you prefer that one or more rooms not be vaulted in your new home, this is a very simple change that your builder can make for you.
Our collection of lake house plans include many different styles and types of homes, ranging from cabins to large luxury homes. But they all have one thing in common – tons of glass on the side facing the water. Because lakeside lots often slope toward the water, it’s common for lake homes to be designed to have walk-out lower levels. However, not all lakefront lots have a sufficient slope for this type of foundation. In any case, if you find the perfect lake house plans, basements can always be added or removed to suit your needs.

We highly recommend that you click on two boxes – the number of bedrooms you know you need, and one less bedroom. For example, if you need 4 bedrooms, click on the boxes next to 4 and next to 3. Otherwise you will not see homes where existing rooms on the lower, main, or upper levels might work perfectly well as a bedroom instead of as an office, study, etc.

Often views or site characteristics make it either advantageous or necessary to build a house in the reverse of the way the plans were originally drawn. When reversed, the front of the house continues to face in the same direction, but rooms that were on the right side of the house as you face it will now be on the left, and vice versa. The lettering and numbers will appear as they would if you held the plans up to a mirror, but this will not present a problem for your builders, as they are quite familiar with this process.
The covered entry has a decorative barrel vault ceiling, and wood columns on tapered stone pillars that also outline the wraparound porch. After entering the foyer space, there is an open staircase straight ahead with an opening that looks up to the second floor, a formal dining room to the left, and a parlor room to the right. Both rooms have fireplaces to warm the spaces, curved bay windows that look out to the front, and 10’–high ceilings like most of the rooms on this level. The dining room has a sliding door that opens into a butler’s pantry with a barrel vault ceiling and a counter with a sink and under counter refrigerator. MonsterHousePlans.com has thousands of plans to choose from for your future home.
